10 REASON WHY TO START WITH KITEBOARDING

Updated: May 29, 2019

Hi Kitesista!

Do you know a friend who is afraid to try kiteboarding and keeps coming with all the excuses ( I‘m short, weak, not strong enough, too busy...) but you are sure that she would enjoy it as much as you do?

Share with her these 10 reasons for kiteboarding to spread a bit of motivation.

1. Full body exercise which you don´t even notice

Kiteboarding is a full body exercise. You work on your arm, belly and leg muscles. At the point when you start jumping, you‘ll build your sixpack almost overnight.

2. It is compatible to no-wind sports like SUPing, surfing or skydiving.

If you like sporting activities, you will adore kitesurfing.

Of course, you will need some skills but you will learn to ride there and back in 3 days then progress and enjoy from then on.

Kitesurfing is compatible with all no/low wind activities such as stand up paddleboarding or surfing, which also keep you active and offers you a plan B if needed 😊

3. Headspace activity

There is no doubt that sport in general makes you happy, but kiting also clears and calms your mind to make you a more relaxed, happy and content person.

4. Beauty maker

Beach hair, shaped, tanned and healthy body. Plus lots of vitamin D and a mind and spirit clearing activity makes you beautiful from the inside out.

5. Confidence booster

Well, thanks to all the above and the fact that you will learn to manage and balance the wind and water element, it will definitely make you a more skilled person and boost your confidence.

6. Network and connections

Kitesurfing is a truly friendly sport. By kiting at different places and meeting lots of amazing people from all walks of life, you create a varied and useful network which can help you with your business and much more.

7. Goal setter

You can see the progress in every other kite session which keeps you motivated to carry on. You never stagnate or feel like you have stopped learning.

This makes kiteboarding a great sport for goal setting. You get a sense of achievement after every ride and the feeling of satisfaction goes on and on… however, there will also be sessions where you can get frustrated and feel like you are going backwards.

Bear in mind that the happiest kite girl is the one having the most fun, so you need to remember to enjoy every up and every down!

8. Healthy lifestyle

Fresh air, salty water, keeping active, tropical fruits and surrounding yourself with smiley happy people is the perfect cure for everything and an amazing anti-ageing cocktail.

9. Travelling

Once you start kiting, you will never want to go travelling without your kiteboarding equipment. It is also incredible how many places you will discover that you can kitesurf, even when you are no where near the sea or ocean.

Kitesurfing will take you to many new places and you'll meet so many like minded people and new friends through your kiting travels.

10. Self-love booster

It´s all together and much more. For me, it was the fact that you don´t need to force yourself to go for a run or to the gym. You are doing the sport you love and you don´t even know that you are exercising. You simply just enjoy it and have fun!
