Organic zinc cream - Good for your skin and the environment.

Sun protection

For all surfer girls, this should be clear: A strong and water resistant sun creme is a must.

Try not to kite the first day only in a bikini when your body is still not used to the sun. Sunburn alert!

We recommend a long sleeve lycra shirt. It also protects you from rash from your harness. If you burned your legs already wear leggings and keep the skin away from too much sun exposure for 2-3 days. Remember, on the water the reflection of the sun is even stronger. Don't forget the parting, ears, toes, and lips.

Our personal tip: Use an organic zinc cream for your face. It's more water resistant than the sun cream and doesn't pollute the ocean. Like the one from Amazinc!.

Suntanning

Yes, everybody wants to look like a sun-kissed beach babe all year long. But the sun is the skins enemy number one. So instead of hanging in the sun even longer after your kite session, try a self-tanning lotion overnight. But beware - spread it carefully and equally and wash your hands straight after to avoid funny looking nails and hands.

Sun cream with SPF 50 is a must for fair and light skin.

Aftersun with Aloe Vera

Let your skin regenerate from the sun exposure and prolong tanning after your holiday. Lotions with Aloe Vera cool down and moisturize your skin.

The Aloe Vera plant is "the must-have" natural ingredient for sun-damaged and sunburned skin. Drip the juice of the plant directly onto the sunburn. It soothes the skin, relieve pain and supports fast healing.

Coconut oil is another very affordable luxury for your body. It doesn't cool down the skin as well as aloe vera but its healing and moisturizing effect is a pure miracle.

Our personal tip: Put the aftersun lotion into the fridge before using. It's super refreshing.

"Bath yourself" in coconut oil once your skin is red, and your skin will turn brown in less than two days.

Not without my make-up

Natural surfer babes wanted! No one wants to see panda eyes and you're skin wants to breathe. Especially when it's super hot and sweaty weather don’t use too much make-up. If you don't wanna go "naked" to the water we have two personal tips for you.

Our personal tip: Colour the leashes, if you wanna feel pretty and confident for yourself and wear a tinted sun cream instead of make-up.

No tangled lines but tangled hair?

The sun, the salty sea, the wind. Your hair is exposed to many environmental influences and becomes dry and fragile. Don’t worry there’s an SOS tip.

Put 2 spoons of coconut oil into your hair after washing to give it a natural cure. Let it act for at least one hour and wash it out with a soft shampoo.

Make sure that it’s cold-pressed and unrefined coconut oil. Only in this, all the important nutrients are preserved.

Our personal tip: Add some coconut oil into your dry hair before you go for your kite session to prevent the split ends.

Drink Drink Drink

Water helps you to stay beautiful from the inside. It keeps your body and thirsty skin hydrated. After 2 hours of kite session in the sun, you should drink a big glass of water to give your body back what it lost during the session. 2-3 litters is a must if you do sport during hot weather. We highly recommend coconut water as well. It's super hydrating and healthy.

Our all-time favourite drink: Sparkling water with lemon, mint and a pinch of salt. It’s super refreshing and has an isotonic effect.

Stretch

Kiteboarding is an amazing full body exercise which makes your body tuned and shaped. Especially once practicing new tricks and using a lot of muscle power instead of technique, muscle ache is inevitable. So don’t forget to stretch before and after kiting.

Our personal tip: 10 minutes of short stretches before your session warm up muscles, increase your performance and prevent injuries. 20-30 minutes yoga or long stretches after a session make your body ready for next day and your muscles lean and relaxed.

Short : 5-10 seconds stretch = Activate your muscles

Long : 10-15 seconds stretch = Relax your muscles
