HOW TO FEEL AT HOME AND COMFORTABLE ON EVERY KITE SPOT

Updated: May 29, 2019

Traveling and discovering new kite spot is amazing and we all know that! Most of the time we feel welcome from the first day on the spot but sometimes it can be a bit strange to be on a new spot the very fist day. Here are some tips and tricks to feel at home on every kite spot.

MAKE FRIENDS AT KITE SPOTS

Kiteboarding is a great sport to meet amazing people and make new friends. Enjoy every minute on the beach (even when you are not kiting). Talk to people on the spot before you go kiting, share your pump, help to launch and land the kite and enjoy the social life as well as kite time on the water.

Whenever you heading to a new kite spot, write a Facebook post to WKC. You can ask for tips and tricks, the best beach around or make some appointment straight away

Do you want to know more about women´s kiteboarding or kiteboarding in general? You will love this amazing project from Laurel Eastman. SHARE your knowledge, experiences – CONNECT with other kiters or – ASK for advice about kite spots, kite gear, kite tips.

ENJOY AND PROGRESS

Kiteboarding is an amazing sport as you can progress quickly. But there is also a time when you are happy with your level and you don´t need to progress. Make some steps to develop your kite skills and feel confident. Go kiting with your friends – throw some „kite clinics“ for each other, learn from each other. There are also many kite camps for a reasonable price, where you can progress in kiting and enjoy the rest of the time by surfing, stand up paddle boarding, doing yoga and eating healthy food. It´s worth it to spend some money and time to progress and meet new people.

I recommend BigStyle – these guys are truly amazing and have the best balance between professionalism and friendliness I have ever seen! You that you will have epic time with them! (check bigstyle.ie)
